D. E. Miller Tours to Central Europe

I led noncredit, private tours to Central and Eastern Europe in 1990 and 1993.  Then, in 1996, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2010, 2013, and 2017, I led undergraduate and graduate students, along with members of the public, on several European tours.  On all the tours since 2001, I cooperated with Ing. Lenka Kocková, from Aura Prague Guides, whose expertise in organizing accommodations and ground transportation as well as in leading tours is unparalleled.  Furthermore, Ms. Kocková and I have built a very good rapport, enabling us to complement each other as we lead participants through the various sites along the way.

Some participants on my tours are seasoned travelers, while others are leaving the United States for the first time.  My goal, therefore, is not only to introduce Central Europe to the small groups of individuals I escort but also to provide them with the confidence and time they need to explore the charming streets, grand palaces, historic churches, and unparalleled museums on their own, with family or friends who join them on the tour, or with the new friends they make in the group.

Over the years, I have led tours to Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, and Slovakia.  If you or someone you know is interested in participating in one of my future tours, do not hesitate to contact me at miller-dem@CentralEuropeanObserver.com.

Vienna's Stephansdom, July 2017.  Because of the buildings in close proximity to the cathedral, including some recent structures, photographing the entire facade is difficult.  For this photo, I used a Nikon D700, with a Nikkor 14-24mm, 1:2.8, lens.

On the pages of this website titled Traveling in Central Europe, visitors can see and read about some of the sights that participants on my tours may encounter.  I also included several travel suggestions that may help both the novice and the seasoned traveler.
