Located in a quiet corner of Georgetown, the Dumbarton Oaks Museum has an excellent collection of Byzantine and Pre-Columbian art.  It also has a remarkable garden with landscape exhibitions.  It is an institute of Harvard University.  Meetings held at Dumbarton Oaks in 1944 led to the creation of the United Nations.

Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art, Biloxi, MS --
The museum features the work of the well-known ceramic artist George E. Ohr (1857-1918), who lived in Biloxi.  The architect for the buildings was the Canadian-American Frank Gehry (born 1929), who was the architect Vlado Milunić (born 1941) for the Dancing House (1992-1996) in Prague, Czech Republic, the Guggenheim Museum (1997) in Bilbao, Spain, and Walt Disney Concert Hall (1999-2003) in Los Angeles.  The O’Keefe Family Foundation was the major donor to the museum.
